Patricia Rhoden b. 1950 American
With a Masters in Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Sculpture--a fine artist with more than 25 years of experience--Patricia Rhoden has an impressive list of recognitions and accomplishments. She is recipient of prestigious grants from the National Endowment Foundation and Eli Lilly Endowment Foundation. Her permanent Museum Collections include acquisitions by The Indiana State Museum, The Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and 7 pieces by The Civil Rights Museum & Institute of Birmingham, AL. A few Juried and Prize winning shows include: Hoosier Salon, Indiana State Museum, National Art League Spring Exhibition NY, NY, and the Annual May Show at Toledo Museum of Art. Rhoden’s oil and acrylic paintings celebrate the exceptional beauty of nature through the use of vibrant broken color. A vivid, passionate expression of both light and feeling give rise to a form of sensualism. Impasto brushwork creates flickering touches of color, and embody intense color vibrations.
